About Us
Bharat Vidyalaya Karadi is situated in the coastal area of the Navsari District. 1919, after the Jallianwala massacre, Mahatma Gandhiji announced the boycott of government-run schools and colleges. Thousands left schools and decided to join the struggle for independence. In 1921, the people of Karadi decided to establish the Rashtriya Shala (school) in order to break away from the British-run schools. Subsequently, in 1930, our school became a base for the freedom fighters.
Fast forward to the year 2000, when we realized that the condition of our school buildings had deteriorated and the standard of education had become poor. To enhance both of these, Karadi Sangathan Mandal UK embarked on a project to rebuild the school and to install an international and up-to-date standard of education. Today, the objective of the Bharat Vidyalaya School is to provide our children from the surrounding poor areas the opportunity to receive an international standard education, and in turn, make them better citizens of tomorrow. Our ultimate aim is to provide the children of this school with the fighting chance to make their mark globally, as a leader, entrepreneur, scientist, artist, athlete, musician, writer, or in any other profession.
The land for the new facility was donated by descendants of Prema Pancha who reside in South Africa and New Zealand and Girishbhai Dayalbhai Patel who reside in Canada. Monetary donations came from the UK, Karadi Navjyote Mandal New Zealand, Karadi Sangathan Mandal Toronto and Montreal, Rashtriya Seva Mandal South Africa, USA, Fiji, local residents, former students, and many from Babu Rama’s the UK & Europe based Sunrise Radio listeners. Karadi Sangathan Mandal UK countries to the largest benefactor towards the development and management of the new school facility.
We started building in early 2006 and completed the construction within 10 months. Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi officially performed the opening ceremony of our school on 27 December 2006 amidst more than 12000 people, which included 100 of NRIs who traveled especially for the occasion. With globalization in mind, our school today is equipped with the latest technology: a modern computer lab, smart classes, fully-equipped physics, chemistry and biology laboratories, amphitheater, indoor and outdoor physical education areas, school bus service, and wireless broadband. Thank you to all those who have helped, donated, and contributed generously to this worthy and ongoing project.

Bharat Vidyalaya Karadi is the stepping stone of my ongoing educational journey. My journey of 12 years started in Junior KG and ended in standard 10th. This time was the best time of my life. Bharat Vidyalaya Karadi not only focused on educational development but also on other extra – curricular activities such as dancing, singing, sports etc. also who which leads to overall development of students.
A very big thanks to such an amazing Bharat Vidyalaya team including management, principal, teachers and other members to make our school journey bright, cheerful and special.
Bharat Vidyalaya Karadi is the preliminary step of my on going educational journey. My journey in Bharat Vidyalaya Karadi (BVK) started from Senior KG and ended in 10th standard. These 11 years were the most important years of my life. We were given lots of love and care there. It is tough to study in educational institute in rural areas. Though Bharat Vidyalaya Karadi provided us all the facilities better than school in cities. The plus point of our school was that it gave equal importance to studies and other activities like sports, music etc.
So, A big thanks to Bharat Vidyalaya Karadi team including trustees, principals, teachers and other members to make our school journey so special, productive and joyful.
From the first day of school to the last, my school education is a major part of my life. I have completed my magnificent 10 years in my school Bharat Vidyalaya Karadi English Medium. It includes all the facilities that are required for student education. My school always looks for overall development of student, following all rituals, disciplines and makes students active in all types of essential activities.
